MeituHub adopts pay-as-you-go Credits billing: use first, pay later. Different capabilities consume different amounts of Credits based on computing resources. Image capabilities are billed per run, and video capabilities are billed per second.

API Billing (CLI / OpenAPI)
What Credits are for: Credits are the unified billing unit of MeituHub, used for pay-as-you-go consumption in the canvas / workspace (images per run, videos per second), and also cover CLI (meitu-cli) calls.
How API calls are billed: CLI (meitu-cli) calls are charged in MeituHub Credits. However, not every capability API supports Credits — some OpenAPI (AK/SK) capability interfaces require a resource package on the Meitu AI Open Platform (MV console). Before calling, confirm whether the target capability is billed by Credits or by a resource package, and keep the corresponding quota sufficient; otherwise the call will fail.

Do I need Credits to call the API?
It depends on how you call:

CLI (meitu-cli) calls: charged in MeituHub Credits.

OpenAPI (AK/SK) capability interfaces: not every capability supports Credits — some interfaces require activating the corresponding capability and purchasing or claiming a resource package on the Meitu AI Open Platform · Resource / Activation; calls fail if the package is not activated or its balance is insufficient.
